Inhalt: This course is designed for students of Medicine who are preparing for a medical clerkship abroad or who need English for other purposes in their studies. In the first session, we will do a needs analysis and ascertain which topics or problem areas participants want to focus on. Based on this input, the precise course contents will be finalized and a suitable book chosen. The course will have an interactive format involving all four language skills and use an online platform. The main aims are to help participants with the lexical issues relevant for Medical English and put the students in a position in which they can deal with their future professional reality successfully in English. Remedial grammar work can be done as needed and there will also be time to reflect on philosophical, legal or ethical issues connected with this field. Prerequisites: C-Test English with qualification for level B2 or successful completion of a general English course at the B2.1 level.
