Inhalt:
Construction Grammar is a theoretical framework which starts from the assumption that our linguistic knowledge be described as knowledge of so-called constructions. These are symbolic units that pair a linguistic form with a meaning. In CxG not only morphemes or lexemes are meaningful, but also syntactic patterns. Our language knowledge is conceived of as a repository of interrelated symbolic units. This course familiarizes students with the basic concepts of CxG relating it to language processing and communciation.
