Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: Prerequisites: C-Test English with qualification for level C1 or successful completion of an English course at the B2.2 level (B2.2 leaving grade 2,3 or better). Credit requirements: regular attendance, a presentation or a final written exam.
Inhalt: The objective of this course for students of business administration and economics is to enhance the understanding and use of general business vocabulary as well as to improve the ability to communicate about business topics. These are taken from fields such as human resources, management, marketing, globalization, and business alliances. To this end, articles from current newspapers and magazines are used, as well as video excerpts and texts from appropriate books. Classwork includes vocabulary practice, work on expression and grammatical proficiency, discussions, and practical exercises relevant to business and professional situations. The students have the opportunity to give a presentation on a business or economic subject, deal with questions and moderate a subsequent discussion.
