Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: Dieser Kurs gilt nur für Bachelor. Magister- oder StaatsexamenskandidatInnen können diesen Kurs nicht besuchen. Requirements:
Inhalt: This class provides a thorough revision of linguistic topics. In the first half of this semester, we will revisit aspects from all levels of linguistic analysis by taking a closer look at various literary texts. Therefore, this course will also be appealing to those students primarily interested in the study of literature, which will be conducted from a linguistic perspective in the context of this seminar. In the second half of the semester, we will then consider various cultural topics, again from a linguistic point of view, such as language and gender, language and media, or language and memory. In other words, this class is meant to update and/or promote participants’ knowledge of basic concepts and major schools of thought in linguistics as well as their skills in basic research methodologies in the study of language.
