Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: This is the same lecture as 05.874.124 - if you need to register for both 124 AND 125, PLEASE CHOOSE DIFFERENT LECTURES! This cycle of lectures is dedicated to those literary classics every student of “English” or “British Studies” should have read, but which despite their relevance are often given a wide berth. Specialists from Mainz and other universities – both in Germany and abroad – will introduce you to canonic English texts as well as their contexts, from the Renaissance to Postmodernity.
