Inhalt: Introducing Asian Women's heologies The irruption of Third World Theology and First World Feminist Theology has helped Christian women in Asia to recognize their own contextual realities and to speak up with their own voices (irruption within the irruption). We will meet notable Asian woman theologians like Marianne Katoppo (Indonesia), Chung Hyun Kyung (South Korea) and Kwok Pui-Lan (Hong Kong) and listen attentively to their biographies in order to gain a better understanding of their theological works. Their analysis of the generative themes of Asian contexts (e.g. colonialism, globalization, patriarchy, sexuality etc.) and biblical texts (e.g. Christology, Mariology, Ecclesiology) will lead us into the hermeneutical circle between text and context. We will see how Asian women use their dialogical imagination to negotiate between biblical texts and their own cultural riches like stories (social biography), art, ritual etc.
