Über 2,5 Millionen Jahre lebte der Mensch als Jäger und Sammler. Durch biologische Anpassung und kulturelle Errungenschaften meistert er sein Leben in einer sich ständig verändernden Umwelt. Die Vorlesung druchleuchtet die ältesten Quellen der Menschheitsgeschichte in Eurasien während des Alt- und Mittelpaläolithikums.

Vermittlung von vertieften Kenntnissen zum Alt- und Mttelpaläolithikum, insbesondere aufgrund der archäologischen Überlieferung. Die Seminararbeit soll in das selbständige wissenschaftliche Arbeiten einführen. Studierende werden gehalten, aktuelle Forschungsprobleme differenziert zu analysieren und diskutieren.
