Inhalt:
Which of the following is false? (A) in England, all CEOs are agents; (B) in America, all agents are employees; or (C) in neither England nor America is an independent contractor an employee? Legal English offers an introduction to fundamental legal usages within Anglo-American law that will allow you to begin describing legal relationships in the language of your common-law counterparts. Through multimedia exhibits and practical examples, the class aims to make you conversant in the analytical frameworks that English and American lawyers will be applying in their dealings with you.

This course is ideal for those who intend to complete an LL.M. and counts towards the Legal Faculty’s English requirement. Two sections of Legal English will be offered in the winter semester, and two sections will be offered in the summer semester.
