Key Concepts in American Cultural History
This course is designed for advanced students and exam candidates. The purpose of this course is to help candidates find and prepare suitable exam topics, and get a comprehensive overview of key concepts in the field of American studies. The course consists of various teaching units that range from the colonial period until the end of the nineteenth century. Each unit will discuss relevant documents that will introduce students into specific literary, historical, and religious contexts of American cultural history.
