Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: Students are required to contact me during office hours before registering for this course.
Inhalt: This course is designed for advanced students carrying out research for their exam thesis or their doctoral dissertation in English Linguistics or Applied Linguistics/Sprachdidaktik. It also caters for those specializing in English Linguistics and preparing for qualifying examinations (oral and written). Students are given the opportunity to present ongoing research, to reflect their research design, to discuss methodological issues and to receive feedback by fellow students and members of staff. Several members of staff will contribute to the course, thereby providing coverage of a wide range of approaches to research carried out at the Department of English and Linguistics.
