Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: Prerequisites: C-Test English with qualification for level B2.2 or successful completion of an English course on the B2.1 level. Maximum number of participants: 35 Credit requirements: 1) regular participation and session preparation; 2) assignments during the semester; 3) a final test.
Inhalt: This course completes the general courses at the B2-level. It builds on the work done in the B2.1 level course and introduces a more academic focus in order to prepare participants for the C1 level courses. Topics include general reading and academic reading, a lexical introduction and an introductory writing block, select grammar issues, academic listening, as well as speaking about select themes. The class uses a mixed format and an interactive, task-oriented approach.
