Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: Prerequisites: 35 – Students who have completed the B1.1 or B1.2 level will be given priority. C-Test English with qualification for level B1.2 or the successful completion of a B1 level course. C-Test dates for winter term 2017/2018: October 10, 9:00-12.00 and 13:00-16:00 in Room P209 (Philosophicum) Credit requirements: 1. continuous participation in the course work and session preparation 2. completion of a set of special writing tasks during semester on OpenOLAT 3. final test
Inhalt: This course is designed to improve the participants’ writing skills on a B1+ level. It builds on the work done in the B1.2 course and/or on the previous skills of the participants. The course will provide opportunities to train written language and the students will be able to demonstrate and improve their written patterns. This course will focus on some grammar aspects which effect writing, i.e. word order, tense choice and prepositions. The main focus of the course will still be improving participants’ writing skills and increasing their vocabulary, but there will be a certain focus on grammar as well. The precise course contents will be tailored to fit the participants’ needs and will be defined at the beginning of the course.
