Inhalt: This class will look at a selection of audio dramas from the golden age of radio and compare them with a number of current fiction podcasts, asking how their concerns have developed, how their aesthetics has changed and to what we can attribute their gradual shift from mimesis to diegesis. Participation in this class entails attendance of the "Podcasting Poetics" conference held on 11 and 12 October. Students will be expected to participate actively and to undertake regular listening (and a few reading) assignments.
