Inhalt: On the basis of a selection of representative texts from the canon of English Literature since the Renaissance, this course provides a survey of the main epochs, recapitulates significant literary genres/sub-genres and movements, their protagonists and relevant terminology and identifies potential exam and thesis topics. The topics treated form a pool of exam topics for the “Modulprüfung” to be taken by M.Ed. students at the end of/immediately after the semester.

Further reading materials will be made available before the beginning of the semester (notification via Jogustine/the JGU Reader). All students are expected to have read all texts!
