Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches:
A number of students seem to be confused: This class was originally planned as a block seminar, but given the current situation, it is very, very unlikely that it will take place as planned. We work digitally, like the rest of the seminars.

Inhalt:
This introductory class will look at one genre’s expression in the United States: drama. We will consider the evolution of theater and drama from the late eighteenth to the twenty-first century, paying particular attention to the diversity of this genre and its concerns with race and race relations.
