Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: Prerequirements: 32 students who have completed the B1 English Intermediate course will be given priority; students who have reached level B1.2 in the placement test will also be given a priority. Placement test dates for winter term 2021/22 : https://www.issk.uni-mainz.de/fremdsprachen/anmeldung-zu-den-sprachkursen/ Credit requirements: - continuous participation in the course work and session preparation - additional assignments during the semester on LMS moodle and BigBlueButton - completion of a set of special speaking tasks
Inhalt: Content: This course is designed to give the participants greater confidence in speaking. It builds on the work done in the B1 course and/or on the previous skills of the participants. The course will provide opportunities to train certain language patterns and is focused on creating an environment that encourages more speaking practice so that students can move on to the level B2 with confidence. The course contents will be tailored to fit the participants’ needs but is strongly based on the coursebook Skillful 2 Listening & Speaking.

Zusätzliche Informationen: WICHTIG: Der Kurs findet in Präsenz statt. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Kurs am 06.01.& 13.01.2022 online auf BBB stattfinden muss. Der Zugang zu den Kursen ist nur mit einem Ausdruck der Leistungsübersicht (Transcript of records) über einen am ISSK bereits besuchten Kurses (nicht älter als zwei Semester), einem dem Kursniveau entsprechendem Ergebnis vom Einstufungstest oder einem Nachweis von folgenden anerkannten Zertifikaten (siehe Homepage) möglich. Die Klausur wird in der letzten Vorlesungswoche abgelegt. Die erbrachte Leistung wird für Studierende unter „Zusatzqualifikationen" auf dem Transcript of records ausgewiesen.
