Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches:
This course focuses on Gothic literature from the nineteenth century, encompassing novels, novellas, and poetry. For the Summer Semester 2023, we will be studying Rossetti's "Goblin Market", Machen's The Great God Pan, Stoker's Dracula, and Polidori's The Vampyre. We will reflect on the Romantic Movement, Victorian Literature, Irish Gothic, and Weird Fiction. We will explore monstrosity, horror, and the supernatural.
