Inhalt: VERLAGSSTRATEGIEN: STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN PUBLISHING In this *** English-language *** seminar, we will a) learn about analytical dimensions of strategic relevance for (media / book) businesses as well as corresponding strategic options (based on Barney/Hesterly and occasionally Küng) and – on the basis of this – b) work through relevant recent articles on strategic aspects of the book / media industry (from journals like Logos, Publishing Research Quarterly, etc.). As a result, students will be able to drill down in the face of selected contemporary industry observations on their own – by writing a (small) strategic analysis (as one option for the semester paper) …
