Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: The seminar is dedicated to an in-depth study of selected aspects of topology and magnetism in solid state systems. This semester the focus will fall particularly on mathematical foundations such as cohomologies and characteristic classes, as well as issues of non-commutative geometry. We will also consider classical examples of topology in magnetism such as the anomalous Hall effect, spin-orbit torque, Weyl semimetals and skyrmions.
