Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches:
BA students and exchange students are required to take and pass two short tests with an average grade of 4,0 in order to maintain active participation on this course.

B Ed students are required to take one ninety-minute exam at the end of this course.

Anwesenheitspflicht:
Compulsory attendance is required for this course in order to keep active participation status. 

Inhalt:
This course is designed to revise and reinforce your awareness of grammar, lexicon and punctuation in English. It will cover structures which are applicable to academic writing and discourse, as well as everyday interactions. Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to think about grammar in context, rather than as an abstract set of rules. For this reason, reference will be made to a wide range of authentic materials, including journalistic texts, academic texts and fiction. 

Apart from class materials (which will be available on LMS Moodle), you will be expected to work on exercises and assignments in your own time.
