Inhalt: Narratives are omnipresent – in media, in (non-)fiction, in our everyday lives, and even within ourselves. According to Walter R. Fisher (1984), this makes us “homo narrans” (6). In this seminar, we will read a selection of literary works from different time periods against the most widely known critical theories and analyse the texts’ narrative strategies. Then, our findings will be put to use in academic writing exercises to sharpen our skills as scholars of literature.
Empfohlene Literatur: Literature will be announced in class.
