Inhalt: Some of the most pressing issues in global distributive justice concern problems of global poverty and inequality. Even though Kant in his moral and political writings does not explicitly deal with these problems (or at least not extensively), he does offer important conceptual and normative resources to think of our global socioeconomic duties. This OS will first examine relevant parts of some Kantian texts (Perpetual Peace, Metaphysics of Morals, etc.), then discuss Elizabeth S. Anderson’s theory of democratic equality, before we finally get to Sylvie Loriaux’ reconstruction of Kant’s views on global distributive justice.
