Contents: This lecture will familiarise you with historical texts and questions relevant for Translation Studies in terms of how these have been developed further during the 20th, but also the 21st century. Central aspects which can be said to be constants of the theoretical discourse about translation and the changing methods with which answers to these questions are sought will play a role. This lecture offers a broad overview and makes it possible to contextualise theoretical questions in the development which led to the current methods, questions and answers.
