Requirements / organisational issues:
A meeting to discuss the organisation of the lecture class "Interdisciplinary Concepts and Applications" of the 2018 summer term will already take place during the 2017/18 winter term:
Wednesday February 7, 2018, 14:15 h in Minkowski room, Institute of Physics, top floor ("level 5")
In their own interest, all students interested in taking this class are asked to attend this organisational meeting. This applies also to anyone who is not yet sure whether or not he/she should enroll in this class in the summer 2018 term and needs more information to decide. During the organisational meeting, a final binding decision is expected. This decision should take into account the fact that the class "Interdisciplinary Concepts and Applications" is only offered in summer terms.
During the organisational meeting the contents and the dates (days/times) of the lecture course will be determined together with the participants. Part of the lecture course will be devoted to student group projects the dates and topics of which will be assigned during the organisational meeting as well.
If you wish to enroll but for an important reason you cannot attend the organisational meeting, please send an email (February 6, 2018 at the latest) to oberlack@uni-mainz.de specifying the following information: Name, any dates (weekday/time) when you could definitely not attend the lecture course during the summer term (including the reason), and the preferred partner for the student project.
The lecturer will inform all potential attendees via the email list physik-la.
If you have missed the oranisational meeting nonetheless but still wish to enroll for the lecture course "Interdisciplinary Concepts and Applications" (for good reasons, the lecturer asks you to refrain from planning this to happen on purpose), then send an email as soon as possible. In this case, your participation will only be possible if free space is available, and you will not be able to state your preferences concerning the selection of course dates and group assignment.
The organisational meeting is not a substitute for the Jogustine enrollment to the lecture class, but is needed in addition for practical reasons. Therefore, every participant will have to enroll via Jogustine independently of the organisational meeting.
