Requirements / organisational issues:
In the course of this online class, students will develop a meaningful research project in a contemporary area of American Studies. Developing a self-designed research topic is mandatory for receiving credit for this course. The project can also serve as the subject of a bachelor’s thesis.
This course will be taught exclusively on Moodle (lms.uni-mainz.de). In this asynchronous format, we will work with study guides and assignments on primary texts, occasional online discussion forums, and links to videos and other online material. At the end of each topic section, we will synchronously meet on Big Blue Button to discuss texts and study activities live.
