Legal English is a language course aimed at developing workable English skills for attorneys. The objectives of the class are (1) applying proper English usage and grammar to legal speech and writing and (2) acquiring vocabulary in the areas of law that the course addresses.
Additional information:
Legal English will be offered in a short four week block this semester. Each week two lectures will be uploaded to Moodle and, at the end of the four weeks, there will be a computer based multiple choice exam. For anyone who needs it, question and answer sessions will be provided over Skype before the exam. Those who pass will receive the Certificate of Foreign Language Proficiency (Fremdsprachenschein) necessary for graduation from the School of Law.
