ATTENTION: The course will be held as a classroom course within the framework of the current legal and official regulations and the requirements of JGU and Department 06. Students who cannot or do not wish to attend the course will have the opportunity to follow and participate online. The technical possibilities for this are about to be clarified. Target group: students with Chinese as their primary language
When planning your studies, please note that this course is offered every two semesters: always in the winter semester.
Contents:
In this course, common-language texts (usually press releases) are translated from Chinese into German. Relevant translation problems will be discussed. If required, the group can conclude the course with a written exam (relevance for admission as a translator in official contexts).
Organisational issues will be discussed in the first session.
Topics and text suggestions can be submitted by e-mail during the semester break (kempa (at) uni-mainz.de).
