Contents:
During the course, students will analyze, prepare and interpret typical scenes (roleplays or videos) in settings such as visits to local authorities, parents-teacher talks, calls to emergency services as well as asylum hearings. The participants will actively partake in the roleplays.
The PC is scheduled for the 2nd half of the semester in blocks of 3 hours each starting on the 4th of June.
As an introduction to the first block, we will discuss specific aspects of working with the language pair FR<>DE. Afterwards, the first setting or scenario will be developed and relevant concepts and technical terms for successful interpretation will be analyzed and compiled.
From the second week onwards, each block will be divided into two parts. During the first half, the students will interpret different scenes and give and receive qualified feedback. The second half will be used for preparing the setting for the following week.
