The introductory course will provide an overview of interpreting in the communal context (Community Interpreting) in Germany:
development, possible fields of application, legal and financial framework as well as current trends, representation in professional associations and training centers, etc.
Through the analysis of particular interpreting settings we will elaborate on the specificity of the triadic communication and while interpreting learn to apply different strategies and techniques ourselves (conversational skills, interventional and interpreting strategies and techniques).
Digital teaching:
We will work with LMS (Moodle) and Teams. Links to meetings or other activities will be communicated via MOODLE.
