This practical course (PC) is an introduction to public service interpreting in the language pairs German-Italian and German-Arabic. The course is part of the semi-elective module „Translation Competence, Introduction to Public Service Interpreting (PSI).

 

The course builds on the content relating to PSI taught in the PC: Introduction to Public Service Interpreting (multidisciplinary - 06.059.0060).

Contents:
During the course, students will analyze, prepare and interpret typical scenes (roleplays or videos) in settings such as visits to local authorities and parents-teacher talks. The participants will actively partake in the roleplays.
