Requirements / organisational issues:
In this seminar, we will cover different methods of barrier-free communication. We will especially focus on Easy Language (“Leichte Sprache”), which is a complexity-reduced language variety of the standard German language. Easy Language attempts to enhance perceptibility and comprehensibility of texts for people with reading impairments. In the course of the semester, students will present a specific self-chosen topic in class.
More information on the topics and the structure of the seminar is given at the beginning of the semester. To pass this course, students will have to:
- regularly attend the course
- give a presentation
- write a term paper
