In the interpreting practice course "Simultaneous Interpreting PL-DE 1", participants are taught the basics of PL-DE simultaneous interpreting. Particular focus is placed on strengthening comprehension skills and analytical thinking, as well as on the analysis of language-pair-specific interpreting problems and strategies. In addition, students acquire research skills tailored to the interpreting process throughout the course of the semester. At the end of the course, students are able to simultaneously interpret a speech of approximately seven minutes from Polish into German.
After successful completion of the course by fulfilling the active-participation requirements, the advisory examination takes place, in which students simultaneously interpret a Polish text into German.
