Martin Luther was generally theologically flattened as the terrible Jew hater in the so-called Third Reich and also in the jubilee year 2017. This permanently hides the theological core of its work. The lecture is contrary to this widespread trend. In doing so, she does not want to give insight into the historical genesis and the conditions of development, but into the systematic context of his thinking, whereby Luther himself has not written a summary representation ( "Summa ") of his theology.
The lecture is particularly about his understanding of Scripture and theology, Christology, understanding of sin and justification, law and gospel, sacrament, ministry and church, and eschatology (eternal life).
