Contents: Course objectives: Students develop an understanding of the role of internal auditing in corporate governance. They learn about the requirements for audit planning and execution. In particular, they develop an awareness of challenges in practice when dealing with audited entities and governance bodies. They will be able to clearly communicate the value proposition of internal audit. Students apply their knowledge to practical cases. Course content: - Role of the internal audit function in corporate governance - Requirements for the internal auditor - Audit planning and execution - Value of internal auditing
