Contents: A question that is asked again and again is whether only translators who grew up multilingually can translate really well or whether this early multilingualism is not necessary at all. In bilingualism research, the effect of early acquisition of a second language has been studied for a long time. The aim of this seminar is to get an overview of this research in order to be able to formulate specific research questions that can be answered empirically. The condition for passing is a term paper with independent research work.
