Contents:
In this course, we start with an overview of the areas and modalities, theories and methods of (literary) translation criticism.
This leads to a review, in terms of translation criticism, of literary translations into German (from different languages, with or without an active knowledge of them).
The practical part will explore the tensino between traditional corrections, revision, optimisation and literary interpretation.
It will be defined according to the size and composition of our group, and of course the students' languages.
Additional information:
The course will be taught face-to-face. Texts and other materials will be uploaded to ILIAS.
In order to "pass" this course, the assignments during the semester have to be done in an acceptable manner.
