In this course, participants will prepare translations of common language texts on tourism. The translation proposals are discussed together and individual translation decisions are critically reflected upon.
The event focuses on the basics of source text analysis, the development of research skills, the improvement of text production skills and the professional use of a computer/laptop.
Every week, the lecturer uploads a new translation job to the Seafile folder (the functioning of Seafile will be discussed in the first session). During the course of the week, the students work on the translation independently and submit it to the lecturer by e-mail within the deadline. In the following session the translations will be discussed.
Additional information:
The translations are done by the students independently outside the course on their own laptop/computer. In class, the translation suggestions will be discussed anonymously in the group.
Auditors and Erasmus students are welcome.
Digital teaching:
We use Microsoft Teams for our classes. The course participants receive the dial-in data before the start of the first session.
