An admissions test must be passed to participate in all interpreting courses offered by the Russian department in the MA in Conference Interpreting.
Erasmus students studying at master's level may be admitted after consulting the instructors.
Contents:
In the interpreting practice course "Simultaneous Interpreting Russian-German 3+4", the interpreting skills acquired in levels one and two are consolidated and expanded upon. This will be done by working with more difficult speeches (in terms of content, syntax, terminology and speaking rate), some of which are used with their original audio. Research skills are strengthened and the management of preparation materials in the booth practised. At the end of the course, students are able to simultaneously interpret a speech of up to 30 minutes from Russian into German. After successful completion of the course by fulfilling the active-participation requirements, the final examination for level four takes place, in which students simultaneously interpret a text of approximately 20 minutes from Russian into German.
