The aim of this class is to introduce students to theories, methods, and concepts of North American Studies. Focusing on aspects such as identity and representation, we will explore cultural texts from both Canada and the U.S.A. You will also learn how to formulate innovative research questions, how to best use library resources, and how to write an excellent term paper. In June and July, Professor Irene Gammel (Toronto Metropolitan University) and Professor David Luis-Brown (Claremont Graduate University) will join us for guest lectures.
