There are no entry requirements for this course. Exchange and guest students of English and German with an interest in the translation of technical texts are welcome. The course is assessed by means of a written exam at the end of the term.
Contents:
This practice class deals with the translation of practice-oriented texts from the field of technology, A main focus being on translation resources and parallel texts as well as the analysis of technical texts and the potential difficulties encountered in translating them.
