Contents:
The lecture will deal with modern literary representations of war in all genres, i.e. poetry, drama, and prose. It will start by asking for a definition of war literature and for reasons why certain forms might be considered modern. It will inquire into representation and its limits as well as issues of ethics and morality and questions of identity, for example in terms of gender, class, and nation.

This lecture will be held live. However, the Powerpoint slides used as well as an audiorecording of the lectures will be placed on LMS together with the timetable and information on the short exam at the end of the lecture. There will also be a forum for questions and comments.
