This course is open for master students of conference interpreting from the Russian department. In addition to active participation the succesful completion of the course requires a final exam.
Contents:
This course is designed to further develop students' skills in consecutive interpreting. To this end, speeches on various topics will be interpreted.
The course prepares students for the final exam in consecutive interpreting, in which a 7-minute text has to be interpreted consecutively from Russian into German.
Assessment criteria and thus learning objectives for this course are, in particular, completeness, correctness and coherence of content, correct and appropriate use of German as well as presentation skills.
