Dear Students,
Before the first lesson takes place, I would like to give you now the following recommendation/task:
- Please register on ILIAS (online learning platform): The entire course communication will be carried out via this platform.
Possible from April 10th, 2023.
Contents:
Students will learn about different types of text forms, recognise, plan, structure and formulate them appropriately in English.
The relevant forms of the four text types will be introduced so that the students can then compose the texts themselves.
The use of selected expressions, which are useful when drafting texts will be provided on Ilias and practised.
Furthermore, the course teaches how to distinguish between the different types and forms of expression of speaking and writing and which vocabulary, structures and rules of text formation are required in each case.
The focus of this course is to practice writing. Autonomous learning is also expected! That means students are also expected to practice the written text forms outside the classroom.
Evaluation: Every week homework will be assigned. It will be evaluated and given a grade. The homework assignments are mandatory.
Requirements: Important! In order to pass the course, all course requirements have to be fulfilled. This means, that assigned homework must be handed in/uploaded on Ilias on time.
