Contents:
In this seminar we will shed light on various aspects of the professional field of translation. The following topics will be covered:


  • Societal values / work values: What do YOU want to do with your life?
  • Translation as a profession
  • Competences
  • Routes to a career in translation or language services
  • Salaries, fees, career prospects
  • A changing profession – will AI take our jobs? What is left for us?

The module examination consists of a graded portfolio. Prerequisite for the grading of the portfolio is the submission of the tasks that are given in class and attendance on 10th May and on 24th May. 
Working language is German.
The course takes place on site.
