Active participation includes participation in specific exercises and debates as well as reading provided literature.
After each session, a short question will be uploaded on Moodle. By the end of term (second last session), 75% of those have to be answered.
Contents:
Focus will be on giving an overview of public service interpreting in Germany: Development, possible work areas, legal and financial frameworks as well as current trends, representation in professional associations and training institutions, etc.
By analyzing concrete interpreting settings, we will work out the specifics of PS interpreting situations and get to know and apply different strategies and techniques by means of exercises.
