How do companies communicate? Which text types occur in which contexts? How do we write texts for different target groups? What do we have to pay attention to if our texts are to be translated at some later stage?
In this practice course, we will examine these issues not only theoretically, rather, we will put them into practice. In this practice course, we address the following issues:
- Tailoring texts fit for those who matter
- Tailoring texts fit for later translation
- Corporate Language and Corporate Identity
- Internationalization of documents in various formats
- Optimizing intelligibility of written texts
- Controlled languages, style guides, editorial guides
The module exam consists of a portfolio of homework on all the above, each of which is assessed individually. All these grades together form your module grade.
Digital teaching:
The course will be in person only.
