Requirements / organisational issues:
The course introduces the most important methods for transferring US- culture-specific terms and concepts into the German target language/culture. Various examples from different media will be studied (movies, series, literature). At the same time, the course provides an overview of the most important sources for US culture-specific terms (political system, law, economy, educational system, popular culture, sports).
