Course description:
In the interpreting training course "Consecutive Interpreting E-D (German) 3+4", the interpreting skills acquired in levels one and two are consolidated and enhanced. Particular emphasis is placed on comprehension and analysis skills. The identification and implementation of rhetorical patterns and strategies is improved. The level of difficulty of speeches (in terms of content, syntax and terminology) is raised, some of which are used with their original audio/video. Flexibility in linguistic expression is significantly increased. At the end of the course, students are able to consecutively interpret a speech of approximately seven minutes from E into D.
After successful completion of the course by fulfilling the active-participation requirements, the final examination for level four is held, in which students consecutively interpret a text of approximately seven minutes into D.
