Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: The Harlem Renaissance in the Context of Jim Crow and Black Lives Matter In this seminar, we will explore and discuss how key and canonical texts written by African American writers during the Harlem Renaissance can not only be read in the cultural context of racial segregation in the early twentieth century but also in the frame of current debates on race and racism in the United States.
