Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: This class will incorporate teaching by Dr. Kenneth Eckert of Hanyang University. It will predominantly be taught asynchronously (i.e. strict attendance at the course time indicated will not be necessary, instead there will be a reading list, prerecorded video lectures and assignments). Your time management will be your own! That said, a fundamental basis for your active participation in this class is that you read the four novels, so get reading as soon as you have signed up! Novels to be read for this class (in that order) are - Helen Fielding, Bridget Jones's Diary Zadie Smith, White Teeth Terry Pratchett, Guards! Guards! Kazuo Ishiguro, The Remains of the Day All administrative aspects, including questions of essays and their marking, will be under the supervision of Dr. Gill.
